Eyewitnesses affirmed that several Israeli vehicles stormed the area while carrying dozens of settlers who performed provocative Talmudic rituals.
Meanwhile, a number of local homes were stormed and searched with no arrests reported.
The settlers verbally assaulted local residents who were heading to a nearby mosque to perform dawn prayers.
