Iranian Academics’ Quranic Organization prepares for 7th International Quran Competition

Since 2006, Iran has hosted the International Quran Competition for Muslim Students, promoting unity and Quranic excellence. The event has welcomed participants from over 85 countries. The upcoming 7th edition seeks to continue fostering global Quranic engagement.

AhlulBayt News Agency: The policy-making council for the 7th International Quran Competition for Muslim Students has been announced.

Ali Montazeri, head of the Academic Center for Education, Culture, and Research (ACECR), issued a decree appointing Seyed Abdolhamid Ahmadi, Seyed Ali Reza Kalantar Mehrjerdi, and Rahim Khaki as council members.

In the decree, Montazeri emphasized the significance of organizing this year’s competition efficiently. He highlighted the success of past editions, particularly in Quran memorization and recitation, and reiterated ACECR's commitment to advancing Quranic activities among Muslim students worldwide.

He expressed confidence that the combined expertise of ACECR members, scholars, and Quranic professionals—especially from academic circles—will ensure well-structured planning and execution of the event.

The Iranian Academics’ Quranic Organization, affiliated with ACECR, has overseen this competition since 2006 to foster unity and cooperation among Muslim students and strengthen Quranic engagement.

Following six successful editions, the upcoming competition seeks to continue its broad impact, having previously hosted participants from over 85 countries.

The 6th edition was held in April 2018 in Mashhad, northeast of Iran.
