According to Ahl al-Bayt (AS) News Agency — ABNA: Ayatollah Reza Ramazani, Secretary-General of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) World Assembly, during the third International Conference of Media Narrators of Ahl al-Bayt (AS)," which was held this morning in Qom with the presence of media activists and scholars from Iran and several African countries, and coinciding with the Days of Kiramah, congratulated the occasion and stated: "This event can serve as a foundation for humanity to become aware of the true meaning of Dignity. Dignity and justice are fundamental principles of Islam."
He also appreciated the organizers of this event, especially ABNA, which hosted this event, and added: "Media Narrators of Ahl al-Bayt (AS) have extraordinary capacities, and the first step should be to recognize and appreciate these capacities. I also request Dr. Aghamiri and the virtual space center friends to identify these capacities, and this understanding and recognition should pave the way for cooperation."
The Secretary-General of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) World Assembly continued: "These capacities are blessed by the miracle of the Quran, which is the Islamic Revolution of Iran, bringing about a global transformation. The Islamic Revolution of Iran has made Islam, as the main pillar, prominent against the oppressive system. The most important feature of this revolution is the discourse of Ahl al-Bayt (AS). We believe that the discourse of the Islamic Revolution is a ray of the discourse of Ahl al-Bayt (AS). If it is properly understood and introduced to contemporary and global society, we will see increasing acceptance day by day. However, it must be explained correctly."
He added: "We are witnessing human awakening; just as Muslims have awakened and become aware of their duties, today we are witnessing human awakening worldwide. The events in Gaza have led the discourse of resistance to become widespread beyond borders, and people in Europe and America are reacting to these events."
Ayatollah Ramazani then addressed the topics of virtual space and its impact, saying: "Much has been discussed in these sessions about virtual space and its effects. Although this is not my specialty, based on studies and numerous meetings with experts, it can be said that virtual space can manage various sectors, including religion. However, it must be acknowledged that sometimes the same space can misrepresent reality and present falsehoods as facts. For example, the Arbaeen event is a major event that is not accurately conveyed. But if a few people in Europe make fun of our beliefs, the whole world will become aware of it."
He continued: "The duty of the media, in the truest sense, is to convey the truth. We should not view media and virtual space with a Machiavellian perspective. The West exploits virtual space to expand its power, but our approach must be humanitarian and realistic."
Ayatollah Ramazani further stated: "Today, jihad in the media and virtual space is no less than jihad in the real world. All those present here are working as jihadis, and we hope to witness good developments through media narrators in their respective countries. We have rich content, and this content richness must be well presented in virtual space."
He concluded: "In the field of artificial intelligence, we must reach the level of content production needed. No content in the world compares to the content of Ahl al-Bayt (AS). If we present this content in attractive and impactful formats in virtual space, we can succeed in this arena. Considering the features of Islamic civilization, we can become leaders in the realm of ideas globally. For this, institutions like the National Virtual Space Center should do more to facilitate religious and Islamic content in attractive and suitable formats. We must introduce Islam comprehensively and accurately, not the distorted Islam presented in the West. There is a huge difference between Islam of Ahl al-Bayt (AS) and the Islam portrayed in the West. In the West, some seek to erase or merge Islam into Western culture, but we must present Islam in its entirety and authenticity."
