AhlulBayt News Agency: A senior military advisor to Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei reaffirms that Iran remains steadfast in its commitment to launch Operation True Promise III against the Israeli regime in response to acts of aggression against the country by Tel Aviv.
"If True Promise III has not been fulfilled yet, there is wisdom behind the delay, not that it has been canceled," Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi said on Friday.
He characterized the delay as strategic and due to deliberate wisdom.
The official lauded the Islamic Republic's leadership as "wise, brave, forward-thinking, and prudent," indicating that the operation would be carried out in due course at Ayatollah Khamenei’s discretion and based on the Leader’s prudence.
The remarks came less than a week after Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Bagheri underscored that the country had developed “all the [defensive] dimensions that are required for generating a [military] capability that is ten times [stronger than] the one deployed during Operation True Promise II.
Last year, the Islamic Republic demonstrated its military might with Operation True Promise I and II, retaliatory strikes launched in response to Israeli aggression.
The operations, carried out using hundreds of ballistic missiles and drones, showcased Iran's ability to strike sensitive Israeli military and intelligence targets with surgical accuracy.
Iranian officials have underscored that the country only deployed a fraction of its firepower during the dual reprisal.
Bagheri, who was attending the unveiling ceremony of a “missile megacity,” one of the hundreds-strong missile storage facilities that are owned by the Aerospace Division of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), further noted that the pace at which the Islamic Republic was developing its defensive might was far faster than the pace of the enemies’ recuperation.
‘Israeli regime’s think tank failed in the face of resistance’
Also on Friday, Safavi, who was addressing participants in the annual pro-Palestinian International Quds Day rallies in the northwestern Iranian city of Semnan, highlighted the failures of the Israeli regime's strategic initiatives against the regional Resistance Front.
He noted that Tel Aviv’s efforts to dismantle the region’s resistance movements had rather led to its own decline.
"The Zionist regime’s think tank has failed in uprooting the Resistance Front and has entered a state of decline," he noted.
He further reflected on the Al-Aqsa Storm Operation, a historic operation against the occupied Palestinian territories by the Gaza Strip’s resistance movements, which saw resistance fighters venture deep within the territories, encircle strategic Israeli bases, and ensnare 241 Zionists.
Safavi identified the operation staged by “the courageous youths of the Resistance Front” as one of the most significant responses to decades of Zionist crimes.
He emphasized that the regime has been unable to extinguish the spirit of resistance, despite its destruction of infrastructures and claiming thousands of innocent Palestinian lives during a war of genocide that it launched against Gaza after the operation.
He said the future of the region would differ from the past, with ultimate victory belonging to Palestine and the global Muslim nation, while defeat awaited the Zionist regime.
‘Trump’s insane, erratic policies emboldened Israel’
The official also denounced the United States for its unwavering support of the Israeli regime, stating that Washington remained complicit in Tel Aviv’s war crimes and violations of international law.
He emphasized that the US continued to fuel regional instability by providing military aid and intelligence support to the regime, enabling its aggression against the Palestinian people and neighboring nations.
In the same context, Safavi condemned US President Donald Trump, describing him as an "insane and erratic" official whose policies had emboldened the regime.
"Trump, with the help of the Zionist regime, attempted to bring about mass killings of innocent people in the Resistance Front, but his plans ended in failure," he said.
Safavi, however, asserted that despite Washington’s untrammeled financial and military support for the regime, the Resistance Front had expanded beyond Palestine to Lebanon, Yemen, and Syria, proving that the US’s efforts to suppress anti-occupation movements had backfired.
"The arrogant powers never imagined that the Resistance Front would grow into a multi-front challenge for the Zionist regime," he said, stressing that the struggle against the US and the Israeli regime would continue until full liberation of the occupied Palestine.
The advisor also pointed to growing global opposition to Washington’s policies, calling on Muslim nations to take concrete actions against American and Israeli interests.
"The strategy to defeat global arrogance requires not just armed resistance, but also economic measures, including boycotting American and Zionist products and blocking military shipments to Israel," he said.
Safavi called for diplomatic pressure on the US to end its unconditional support for Tel Aviv and urged Arab states to sever all ties with the occupying regime.
