Thousands of Mumbai Muslims march for Palestine on Quds Day

Yesterday, the streets of Mumbai echoed with the voices of solidarity as thousands gathered to show support for the people of Palestine.

AhlulBayt News Agency: Yesterday, the streets of Mumbai echoed with the voices of solidarity as thousands gathered to show support for the people of Palestine.

Organized by the Isna Ashari Youths Foundation, the protest march served as a powerful call for justice and humanity.

The procession moved from Khoja Masjid to Kesar Bagh Hall, with participants passionately chanting in support of Palestine.

The atmosphere was charged with emotion, as the sorrow and determination on the faces of attendees reflected their unwavering commitment to the cause. Men, women, and young people stood together, symbolizing the unity and resilience of the community.

Prominent local scholars, including Maulana Hussain Mehdi Hussaini, Maulana Rooh-e-Zafar, and Maulana Muhammad Kararvi, delivered speeches.

They pointed to the importance of active support and urged attendees to break the silence surrounding the plight of Palestinians. Their words resonated deeply, inspiring the crowd to stand firmly for justice and remain vocal in their advocacy.

“In silence, we offer no support; in silence, we evade accountability,” one speaker declared, encouraging Muslims to remain steadfast in their pursuit of justice.

Quds Day, established in 1979 by the founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini, is observed annually on the last Friday of Ramadan. It serves as a platform for expressing support for the Palestinian people and slamming Israeli occupation and oppression. Rallies are traditionally held in several countries.

Large rallies are held as Israel continues its attacks on Gaza and the occupied West Bank.
