Ahlulbayt News Agency: The Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has launched the Ramadan program (Kafel basket) to provide support to African science students in the cities of Najaf and Karbala in the holy month of Ramadan.
The program is organized by the Department's Center for African Studies.
The supervisor of the center, Sheikh Saad al-Shammari, said:"the al-Kafel basket program aims to support science students and their families in the holy month of Ramadan, the month of mercy and solidarity."
He added that"more than 250 food baskets within this program were distributed to students of the scientific Hawza residing in the holy cities of Najaf and Karbala".
For their part, the beneficiary students expressed their thanks and appreciation to the holy shrine for this humanitarian initiative, stressing that such programs enhance the spirit of belonging and encourage them to continue their scientific career.
This initiative comes within a series of humanitarian programs that affirm the message of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine in spreading the values of social solidarity and strengthening the bonds of brotherhood between the various communities residing in Iraq.
