The competition is organized by the scientific complex of the Holy Quran at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, with the participation of readers from 22 countries, with 30 readers from the adult category, and 10 from the youth category.

The competition is supervised by an international jury, consisting of Sheikh Mohammed Bassiouni from Egypt, Sheikh Bassem al-Abdi from Iraq, Dr. Mushtaq al-Ali from Iraq, Sheikh Abdul Kabir Haidari from Afghanistan, Sheikh Mohammed Asfour from Egypt, reader Mr. Hassanein El-Helou from Iraq, singer Mr. Karim Mousavi from Iran, singer Mohammed Ramal from Lebanon.

In the ninth episode of the award, the readers (Mohammed Salman from Pakistan, Talha Kenkalo from Tanzania, Mahmoud Kamaleddin from Egypt) participated.

The workshop witnessed the hosting of the memorizer (Hafedh) of the Holy Book of Allah; Hajjah Hamdiya al-Ja'az from the side of al-Huwair in Basra governorate, as the ninety-five-year-old woman reviewed her story of how she started and who helped her on her journey with the glorious book of Allah, as she mentioned that she was using a fishing boat as a mean of transport to reach the Quranic courses held in the area of Imam as-Sadeq (peace be upon him) adjacent to her area, and completed memorizing the Holy Quran in full after eight years of memorization.

Al-Hajja Hamdia participated in the workshop by reciting verses from the Holy Quran, and listened to a set of tips from the jury, in a move that expresses the interest of the holy shrine to support the memorizers of the glorious book of Allah from various segments of society.

The competition is one of the contributions of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine to spread the Quranic culture, as the correct method for the goodness of the individual and society, as readers from Arab, Asian and African countries came to participate in its second edition.
