AhlulBayt News Agency: The head of Islami Tehreek Pakistan and Shia Ulema Council, Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi, stated that Kashmir is an unfinished agenda of the partition of subcontinent. It cannot be resolved merely through statements but requires concrete actions.
He added: Apart from war, other practical and feasible options should be considered. The Kashmiri leadership, national factions, and key stakeholders should come together to formulate a joint strategy so that not only can a solution be found, but the oppressed Kashmiri people can also find reassurance.
He expressed regret that the role of the United Nations, international human rights organizations, and the OIC (Organization of Islamic Cooperation) has become almost insignificant due to their inaction. He urged the public to participate actively in rallies to show solidarity.
In his message on Kashmir Solidarity Day, he stated that the Kashmiri people have been struggling for their freedom for a long time. Some have attained martyrdom, while others have been subjected to oppression, rape, and pellet gun attacks. The state has used every possible means of oppression, yet the voices for freedom continue to rise from Kashmir.
He further stated that Pakistan has raised this issue in the United Nations General Assembly, the Security Council, and through various dossiers. However, despite these efforts, India continues its oppressive actions.
Allama Sajid Ali Naqvi emphasized that apart from war, several viable options exist that can help resolve the Kashmir issue.
He suggested that the Kashmiri leadership and other national intellectuals should come together to draft a well-thought-out strategy and implement it. This would not only provide relief to the Kashmiri people but also pave the way for resolving one of South Asia’s biggest issues.
