AhlulBayt News Agency: The Palestinian Commission of Detainees’ and Ex-Detainees’ Affairs said on Tuesday that the Palestinian prisoner, who was proclaimed dead yesterday in the Israeli Megiddo jail, is 33-year-old Abdul-Rahman Mar’iee, a resident of the West Bank town of Qarawat Bani Hassan town in Salfit.

According to the Commission, prisoner Mar’iee was kidnaped on February 25, 2032 and had been in detention since then with no trial or indictment. He was married with four children.

“Martyr Mar’iee was exposed to a premeditated assassination. The occupation did not only assassinate him, but also refused to reveal his identity yesterday. According to the lawyer, the occupation will perform an autopsy on his body,” The Commission said.

In a statement on Monday, the Israeli prison service said that a 33-year-old detainee, from the West Bank, died after feeling unwell, without stating his name.

He is the fifth prisoner who is believed to have been tortured and killed by Israeli jailers since Operation “Al-Aqsa Flood” started on October 7.
