More than 12 countries participate at Karbala International Book Fair

AhlulBayt News Agency: The representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, Sheikh Abdul-Mahdi Al-Karbalaey, and the Secretary-General of Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, Mr. Hassan Rashid Al-Abaiji, inaugurated the sixteenth annual Karbala International Book Fair, with the participation of local and international publishing houses.

The director of the book fair, Ghaith Al-Dabbagh, said, “The Karbala International Book Fair is held on the sidelines of the Rabi’ Al-Shahada International Cultural Festival, which is held on the birth anniversary of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him).”

Over 145 local and international publishing houses from 12 countries displayed thousands of books in various academic and religious fields.

The book fair is located just outside the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) and will continue until Shabaan 10 (March 3).
