AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The chief custodian of Astan Quds Razavi has stressed the need to make a leap in the process of providing services and relief to the needy in line with the order of the Islamic Revolution’s Leader regarding the “faithful service”.
Hoj. Ahmad Marvi, in a meeting on tackling deprivation and relief to the needy, which was held in the presence of deputies and managers of different AQR departments in the Vilayat auditorium of the holy shrine stated: “Since the outbreak of coronavirus in the country, good measures have been taken to help the needy in AQR establishment, but after the order of the Leader, we feel the responsibility and there must be a leap in the process of rendering services.”
“Since the outbreak, AQR has had a good, active and responsible entry, both in terms of preparation, production and distribution of medical and hygiene supplies such as masks and disinfectants, which, thank God, the country is out of urgency today. In terms of aiding the needy, 50,000 charitable food packages in Mashhad and visiting the country’s hospitals were done, yet this process should witness a leap in the future,” he said.
He pointed out that there must be interaction, coordination and cooperation with government agencies to achieve targeted services and increase the synergy of the capacities.
Elsewhere he stressed the need to use people’s capacities by building trust to solve the problems of the needy through transparency which is a requirement for the people to play a role. The process of relief and cost-effectiveness must be transparent in order to increase the role of the people and we must devise a clear mechanism for reporting to the public; it is the right of the people to know where their aid has been spent.
Stating that AQR is not a rival but an aide to charity NGOs, he noted: “The huge capacity of the holy shrine servants must also be used. Many renowned and charitable people, who have financial means, have a privilege to wear the servant fatigues in this shrine.”
In the end, he pointed to the holy month of Ramadan and the duty of the officials of different AQR departments to make necessary efforts and plans so that no one goes to bed hungry in the city of Imam Reza (AS).
