Ahlul Bayt News Agency ; Zionists are seeking to sow discord among followers of Christianity and Islam and destroy the two great divine religions, Ayatollah Hadavi Tehrani, an Iranian scholar of Islamic philosophy and law said on Sunday.
Speaking in a TV news program he said, insulting the Holy Quran in front of the White House at the presence of former Florida senator and with extensive news coverage was not accidental.
He described reaction of American officials to the incident as a green light for others to repeat the insult. "I think it is part of a scenario formed against Islam," he added.

In another part of his remarks, Ayatollah Hadavi said, "If the US commander in Afghanistan speaks about his fear of attack and Obama repeats it, it means that they probably want to do terrorist acts in the name of Muslims."
Rejecting all kinds of extremism, he said extremism in any form is harmful either from Al Qaeda which was created by the West to destroy Islam or from Jews in the form of Zionism or Christians as Bush was an example of.
