AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Ayatollah Sa’idi said, “The enemies are thinking about changing the Islamic lifestyle in Qom into a Western life and turn the Nest of the Immaculate Family of Muhammad into a modern Western world.”
In his Friday prayer sermon delivered to a large and fervent crowd of believers in Qom’s Qods Prayer Hall, Ayatollah Sayyed Mohammad Sa’idi stated that Iranian politicians must be careful about their speech and behaviour and avoid the tendency towards aristocracy and extravagance and said, “The people must deal with the ploys of the enemies and the authorities must also revive hope in the people by boosting domestic production and supporting Iranian goods.”
The custodian of the Holy Shrine of Lady Fatimah al-Ma’sumah commended the judiciary in dealing with the economic crimes committed in the country and said, “We call on the judiciary to move forward with creating hope in order to cut off the hands of the corruptors from the resources of the country and watch out for mysterious movements and groups.”
Arguing that the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khamenei, emphasized that the authorities must have courage and rationality and must not recoil in the face of the foolish statements made by the United States and Western European countries, he said, “Just as the Supreme Leader said, ‘We must stand and resist against them because their words, promises and their signatures are not credible.’”
Ayatollah Sa’idi added, “The Supreme Leader emphasized the historical expression of Imam Ali, who said that the true power in the world was the power of God and that the material powers of the world are fragile and according to this, Imam Khomeyni said that ‘the United States can’t do an damned thing.’”
The representative of the Supreme Leader in Qom said, “The authorities must consider internal strength and promote the Resistance Economy and solve the people’s livelihood problems based on authoritative solutions and national coherence and by executing the plans of the Supreme Leader. With the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), a body without a soul will remain and also, none of the expected policies of the government that were promised will be realized in the JCPOA.”
He said, “In 2013, the Minister of Foreign Affairs [Mohammad-Javad Zarif] said that the purpose of the negotiations with the P5+1 was to lift the sanctions but this year, he said that the purpose of the negotiations wasn’t to lift the sanctions. These statements show that the JCPOA wasn’t able to remove the sanctions but rather, the sanctions by the United States were intensified. Therefore, the authorities must act with courage and rationality according to the advice of the Supreme Leader and not associate the national authority with external illusions.”
Referring to the Day of Gaza, Ayatollah Sa’idi said, “Because of the epic of the people of Gaza in defending their homeland, January 19th was named as the Day of Gaza, where we pray to God to grant victory to this oppressed and resistant nation against the Zionists.”
Referring to the martyrdom anniversary of Lady Fatimah al-Zahra, His Eminence added, “Lady Fatimah al-Zahra is unique for all Muslims in the fields of wilayah (guardianship), resistance and the defence of Islam and wilayah in the arena of the family for exemplary women. For this reason, the Supreme Leader said that Lady Fatimah al-Zahra is the secret of the survival of Islam and the women of the country were also present at the scene by following this great lady in the struggle and realization of the Islamic Revolution and the Holy Defence [Iran-Iraq War] and all arenas. The lifestyle of Lady Fatimah al-Zahra must be the model of the actions of the Shi’ahs.”
Referring to the importance of the city of Qom as the sanctuary of the Ahlul-Bayt, he warned of the conspiracies that enemies have had and continue to have against Qom and said, “The enemies want turn the humanity-building ideology of pure Muhammadan Islam, which is based on the teachings of the Ahlul-Bayt and the guidance of the revolutionary sources of emulation and clergy into anti-revolutionary and marginal doctrines and create despair and hopelessness, separate the seminaries from the Islamic system and separate the people from the seminaries.”
Ayatollah Sa’idi stated, “On the one hand, they want to separate the seminaries from the Islamic Revolution and institutionalize Western intellectual thought and religious secularism as the dominant norm in the seminaries and on the other hand, they are thinking about changing the Islamic lifestyle in Qom into a Western life and turn the Nest of the Immaculate Family of Muhammad into a modern Western world.”
