(AhlulBayt News Agency) - Five Palestinians were injured after Israeli forces shelled areas in the eastern Khan Younis district in the southern Gaza Strip on Wednesday around dawn.
The Gaza Ministry of Health said in a statement that several shells were fired towards a site belonging to the al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement.
Three Palestinians were injured with live ammunition while two others were injured by the shelling, the ministry said.
The statement added that Israeli forces opened fire at an ambulance attempting to transfer the injured to the hospital.
Several Israeli military vehicles raided the area following the shelling, leveling lands along the border as Israeli drones flew over head.
