(AhlulBayt News Agency) - Iraqi security forces on Wednesday seized several dozens of ancient artifacts from an abandoned ISIS hideout south of Mosul.
According to media reports, more than 100 pieces of artifacts were discovered during a searching operation in Hai Zra’a district of Mosul.
The pieces allegedly belong to Assyrian Empire and early Islamic era.
The thousands-years-old artifacts were reportedly kept in a house belonging to an ISIS terrorists.
Iraqi forces are now clearing eastern Mosul neighborhoods from any ISIS presence after they declared victory on Tuesday.
