The ISIS militants beheaded and shot a group of prisoners over charges of espionage in Hawija district, southwest of Kirkuk.

(AhlulBayt News Agency) - The ISIS militants beheaded and shot a group of prisoners over charges of espionage in Hawija district, southwest of Kirkuk, Shafaq News reported on Friday.

The report said footage of the executions has been released on the social media accounts affiliated with the ISIS Takfiri terrorists.

According to the report, a group of blindfolded victims were taken to Hawija main square, forced to go down on their knees and got beheaded in front of people.

The same was done to two more prisoners in orange uniforms who were shot in the head while kneeling on the ground.

This horror show by ISIS is displayed at a time when reports suggest the organization lost a quarter of its territory in Iraq and Syria in 2016.

So far, Iraqi government is trying to retake Mosul from the Takfiris and no date for liberating Hawija, a stronghold of ISIS, has been set so far.
