(AhlulBayt News Agency) - The official spokesman of the ISIS terrorist group in Mosul was reported dead after gunfire targeted his car in Iraq’s northwestern Nineveh province, activists reported on Tuesday.
Abu Isaac, the ISIS spokesman in Mosul, was driving his car in central Mosul when a group of gunmen ambushed him and opened fire on his car.
“Abu Isaac and two of his escorts were killed in the attack,” head of Nineveh media centre Raafat al-Zarari said. “At least three gunmen were involved in the operation. The gunmen remained unknown.”
The media activist Abdullah al-Malla said that following the attack, Abu Isaac was transferred to the al-Adli hospital in central Mosul. “But when he arrived to the hospital, Abu Isaac was already dead. He was shot at least four times,” the source reported.
