Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif says Islamophobia is an insult to Muslim sanctities.
Addressing the 28th Session of the UN Human Rights Council in the Swiss city of Geneva on Monday, the top Iranian diplomat underlined the need to tackle extremism in all its forms.
"We should thus join hands to contain, control and defeat Islamophobia as well as extremisms of other varieties," said the minister.
