(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Jerusalem Grand Mufti, Sheikh Mohammad Hussein, said that Israeli support to the so-called Temple organizations came in total violation of international conventions and laws concerning the protection of places of worship.
Sheikh Hussein, preacher of al-Aqsa Mosque, warned on Tuesday of Temple organizations' call to break into al-Aqsa Mosque and to raise the Israeli flag in its plazas next Thursday.
Sheikh Hussein held the Israeli occupation authority fully responsible for consequences of the extremist organizations' plans to break into al-Aqsa Mosque.
Jerusalem Mufti called on Jerusalemites and Palestinians inside the Green Line to intensify their presence in al-Aqsa Mosque and to protect it in face of the serious and unprecedented Israeli threats.
Sheikh Hussein called on Arab and Islamic countries to protect Palestinian holy sites, condemning "international silence toward Israeli practices and violations against holy sites."
