Blast near mosque kills 2 in Pakistan

A bomb blast near a mosque killed at least two people in northwestern Pakistan on Thursday, police said.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The bomb near Kohat, a main city in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, also injured several more people, they said. Preliminary investigation suggests that the bomb was attached to a motorbike and was parked near a mosque at Kacha Paka, a small town, some 20 kilometers from Kohat. It was not clear as to who was the target as the bomb exploded near a mosque and marketplace. Some people believe that displaced persons from the South Waziristan tribal region also live in the area. Locals shifted the injured to a nearby hospital in private vehicles. No group claimed responsibility for the attack. Residents said that there had been series of attacks in the same area in the past. Two big suicide attacks killed nearly 100 people two years ago.End item/ 149
