(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - A number of UN member states, including Russia and China, opposed the resolution which claimed that there are serious violations of human rights in Syria.
The resolution which lacked accuracy and objectivity and ignored the reality of the terrorism committed al-Qaeda affiliated terrorist groups which receive money and arms from western countries, topped by the US and its regional allies, was a message to reassure the terrorists that they will not be punished for their crimes against the Syrians.
The immoral resolution called for facilitating the work of the UN Investigation Committee and allowing free movement of its members, in addition to conducting an independent international investigation despite the fact that the committee has issued biased reports basing on false media reports and illusive testimonies and ignored the terrorist car bomb attacks and massacres carried out by terrorists in the streets and in front of cameras.
Once again, the resolution overlooked Syria's documented letters to the UN and the UN Security Council on terrorists' acts which included names of Arab and foreign terrorists who were recruited and trained on the Turkish territories before sending them to Syria.
The new resolution came in line with a series of political and media steps taken by Syria's enemies to boost the morale of terrorists and their leaders abroad and provoke them to go ahead with their crimes against the Syrian people.
In a relevant context, the UN General Assembly adopted another non-binding resolution titled "repeated violations of human rights in Iran" which Iran's representative to the UN, Mohammad Khazaei, considered as an exploitation of the UN General Assembly to achieve political goals, adding that the resolution doesn't reflect the situation on the ground in Iran.
