'Kom' Religious Sciences Magazine Published in Belgrade

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - It is a biannual magazine that features articles aiming to produce true religious knowledge in the fields of contemporary religious thought, religious philosophy and civilizational studies.

Published by the Kom Religious Sciences Institute, Kom is the first scientific magazine in Serbia and the Balkans region that has received permission as a religious sciences journal.

The first issue of the journal features 7 articles all of which have been evaluated by two academic instructors and received special UDC (Universal Decimal Classification) codes.

The articles are as follows: “The Originality of Islamic Philosophy” by Tehran Halilovic, “The Fall of Adam as the Baptismal Tree” by Rade Bozovic, “Divine Knowledge and Free Will” by Mirsad Hadzajlic, “The Essence of A Rational Approach to Civilization” by Muamer Halilovic, “Traditional Movements in the Contemporary Arab World” by Seid Halilovic, “Hassan Al-Bana and the Muslim brotherhood Movement” by Ivan Ejub Kostic, and “The Relationship between the Serbian Orthodox Church and the Authorities in Modern Serbia” by Vladimir Ciric.

All the authors are academic scholars with a PhD degree or working on their PhD dissertation.

The members of the Kom Religious Sciences Institute seek to work on the common challenges and contemporary religious traditions of Islam and Christianity and carry out research in the field of religious studies based on monotheistic foundations in southern Slavic region.

Mohammad Jafar Elmi from Iran’s Al-Mustafa International University, Adnan Silajdzic from Sarajevo University, Hamid Parsania from Baqir-al-Plum University in Qom, Iran, Roland Pietsch from Ukrainian Free University in Munich, Germany, Abdulkadir A. Mubarak from University of Abuja, Nigeria, Mohammad Mesbahi from the Islamic College of London and Ammar Fauzi from the Islamic College of Jakarta, Indonesia form the journal’s international advisory board.
