Nepal committed to NAM principles

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Addressing NAM meeting of foreign ministers, Shrestha said Nepal expresses its solidarity to work together to achieve the paramount objectives of NAM.He said "The principles of NAM constitute a bedrock foundation of Nepal foreign policy and we are firmly committed to remain true to the NAM spirit."He added "The success of NAM lies in our collective wisdom and our commitments to pursue the NAM objectives in good faith."He noted that the NAM summit will be a turning point in bringing the movement to a newer height of hope and confidence.More than 100 countries are taking part in the NAM meeting which kicked off at the expert level in Tehran on Sunday.The foreign ministers of the NAM member states held a meeting on Tuesday and Wednesday.The meeting of the heads of state and government will open on Thursday with an inaugural speech by Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.NAM, an international organization with 120 member states, is considered as a body not formally aligned with or against any major power bloc. /219
