An Iranian military commander says Iran's chairmanship of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) for the next three years is indicative of the failure of US unilateral policies.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Commander of Iran's Basij Force Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Naqdi told reporters on Saturday that Iran’s chairmanship of the movement has challenged the US power.

He added that Iran's hosting of the 16th summit of the movement marked a big failure for the US, saying, “Washington better give up its irrational stances toward the Islamic Republic of Iran and stop its acts of sabotage.”

NAM, an international organization with 120 member states, is considered as not formally aligned with or against any major power bloc. It represents nearly two-thirds of the UN members.
