UAE: 300,000 to benefit from Ramadan Ration project

ABU DHABI (Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Humanitarian Foundation (KZHF) has launched its “Ramadan Ration” project for the year 2011, it announced on Sunday. Around 300,000 people from 45,000 families will benefit from the project implemented each year before the holy month of Ramadan, KZHF representatives said during a press conference held at its headquarters.Twelve different types of food will be distributed among beneficiary families in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Affairs through 23 centers nationwide. Mohammed Haji Khouri, KZHF director general in his remarks at the press conference hailed the role of corporate sponsors for the project./129
