Former Amir Jamat-e-Islami (JI) Qazi Hussain Ahmad, here on Friday strongly condemned desecration of Holy Quran in the U.S and said plot to subvert Ummah would fail.
He said such acts cannot be accepted under the garb of freedom of expression.
Qazi Hussain Ahmad said that Zionists are behind every conspiracy against Islam and leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has correctly said that Zionist circles within the U.S. Administration are the main conspirators of Quran’s sacrilege.
“I totally agree with the statement of the Supreme Leader”, he said.
Ayatollah Khamenei has strongly condemned the insult to the holy Qur'an in a message saying that the act was calculated by “those who years ago put Islamophobic and anti-Muslim policies on their agenda and have tried to combat Islam and the Quran in numerous ways by resorting to myriad propaganda means and campaigns.”
The message by Supreme Leader on the desecration of the holy Qur'an has also been registered as a UN document.
Qazi Hussain Ahmad was of the view that the desecration of Quran was aimed at creating a rupture between Muslims and Christians.
The religious leader stressed the need for practical efforts to foil designs of Zionists against Muslim Ummah. Qazi Hussain Ahmad said that Ummah is a very strong power blessed with the holy Quran and Sunnah.
He said that there is need to ignite the fervor and enthusiasm of Muslims and they should not compromise on their religious identity at any cost.
He added that the US government must punish those responsible for the great crime to prove its innocence.
“Freedom of expression does not mean that we have right to insult other religions”, Qazi Hussain Ahmad said.
Florida pastor Terry Jones floated the idea of torching the Holy Qur'an on the anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks.
Although the pastor called off his plans, other anti-Islam extremists in the US tore pages, and burned copies of the Muslim holy book on the ninth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.
The act sparked outrage in the Muslim world with millions demonstrating across the globe to denounce the desecration of the holy book.
Qazi Hussain Ahmad expressing his opinion said that Zionists are trying to create difficulties for the Muslims by such acts.
He strongly believed that any conspiracy against Islam would fail and enemies of Islam would not be able to accomplish their evil designs against Ummah.
