Ahlul Bayt News Agency (ABNA.ir), During the month of Ramadhan, a summer camp is being organized for kids ages 5 to 12. The camp will be held at the Jaffari Community Centre at 9000 Bathurst in Vaughn.
The camp will run from 9am to 4pm, with before and after-care being available from 7:30am-9:00am, from 4:00pm to 5:30pm and 5:30 pm to 7:00pm. Accommodations will be made for children going to the Al-Asr program.
The children will be broken into smaller groups based on age, with counsellor ratios of 1:7 (if there is a responsible volunteer with the counsellor the ratio may increase to 1:10). The theme of the camp will be the virtues of the 14 masumeen. Each day we will focus on a different virtue, and the activities of the day will revolve around the virtues and be tailored for each age group. The activities will include sports, games, arts and crafts, story time, some quran recitation, and rest/free time. The camp is designed for both kids who are and are not fasting, so there will be an area set aside for children to eat their lunches which they bring from home.
