A crowd of over 20,000 Palestinian children residing inside the 1948 occupied Palestine joined a revolutionary festival Saturday along with their family members where they declared even an inch of the al-Aqsa soil should not be surrendered to ‘Israel.’
The festival, called ‘the eighth fund of al-Aqsa children’ saw a newer generation of Palestinian children chanting for freedom of their original land. It was co-staged by three Palestinian institutes; al-Aqsa Mosque Heritage Revival Institute, al-Aqsa Mosque Heritage and Endowment Institute and al-Aqsa Mosque Children Fund.
The festival has come as a counter action against the massive judaization projects across Palestine.
The children, bussed from every corner of historical Palestine to the festival venue in 330 convoys, underlined in their slogans that they would not forgive any Palestinian individual who bows to Israeli demand for land grab or exchange.
Sheikh Kamal Khatib, deputy chair of Islamic Movement in 1948 Occupied Palestinian Lands told the festival that Palestinian children can play an effective role in safeguarding al-Aqsa Mosque the heritage.
Israeli forces which were on full alert for the festival prevented several prominent Palestinian authorities from joining the revolutionary ceremony which was staged inside the mosque. The barred authorities were Raed Salah, chair of Islamic Movement in 1948 Occupied Palestinian Lands, Akrama Sabri, imam of al-Aqsa Mosque, and Hatim abd al-Qader, official in charge of Quds dossier in the Fatah party.
The organizers concluded the festival by awarding top paintings drawn by the children with the theme of al-Aqsa Mosque.
