Only those who have certificates of completion of Quranic courses can attend the competition, which is held in two sections for men and women.
Winners will be awarded in a ceremony in capital Ankara on Sunday June 13, the first day of the month of Rajab on the Islamic calendar. The top prize for the winners is a Hajj pilgrimage package.
The youngest and oldest memorizers of the holy Quran will also be awarded at the ceremony.
