The weekly Cabinet meeting, presided over by HE the Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah bin Hamad al-Attiyah, condemned the desecration of a mosque by Jewish settlers in a village near the West Bank city of Nablus on Tuesday.
According to Ahlul Bayt News Agency (ABNA.ir), Jewish settlers set fire to a mosque in the village of Lubban ash-Sharqiya, near the West Bank city of Nablus, with the support of the Israeli army and the government.“That is considered a flagrant infringement on Islamic sanctities, a blatant violation of international norms and charters and an abortion of all Arab and international efforts aimed to revive the peace process”, the Cabinet said.
It called on the international community, especially the United States, to shoulder responsibility in exercising pressure on the Israeli government to halt such acts of aggression.
