AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): According to a report by Politico, AIPAC has disabled the possibility of receiving online financial contributions for more than 12 Democratic representatives through its political action committee. Among these individuals are names such as "Katherine Clark," a Democratic leader in the House of Representatives, "Joe Neguse," and "Pat Ryan." Pat Ryan had previously announced that he was not interested in receiving financial support from AIPAC and had criticized the lobby's positions toward Benjamin Netanyahu's government.
This action came after 103 Democratic representatives voted in favor of an amendment to reduce America's annual $3.3 billion military aid to Israel. Although the plan was not passed due to opposition from the Republican majority and a number of Democrats, the vote result indicates the widening gap among Democrats over the continuation of military support for Israel, coinciding with increasing criticism of Benjamin Netanyahu's government's performance in the Gaza war.
