A meeting on studying ways and methods of Islamic investment was held in the Kazakhstan capital of Astana.

In the last day of the two-day event on Tuesday, economic experts and heads of banking and credit institutions of Islamic countries shared their experiences with each other.

World problems in adjusting markets based on Islamic financial methods, Islamic banking experiences as well as plans and perspective of cooperation between Islamic states were among topics of the meeting.

A Kazakh expert in economic and financial affairs attending the gathering told IRIB reporter that some countries such as Russia, Turkey, Pakistan and China have established banks in Kazakhstan Republic which are based on the western and European system.

She added there is no Islamic bank based on Sharia in Kazakhstan and lack of such a banking system is an economic vacuum in the country.

Chairman of the Kazakhstan Development Bank, Gali Iskaliyev, also present in the meeting told IRIB correspondent that many countries are not still familiar with Islamic economic rules and Astana hopes to help them to know the system.
