Five Qaris Advance to Finals of Al-Ameed Quran Award in Youths Section

Five qaris participating in the youths section of the third edition of the Al-Ameed international Quran recitation award in Iraq made it to the finals.

AhlulBayt News Agency:  Five qaris participating in the youths section of the third edition of the Al-Ameed international Quran recitation award in Iraq made it to the finals.

Those advancing to the final stage are from Egypt, Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan and Indonesia. 

The competition has been organized by the Holy Quran Scientific Assembly affiliated with the Astan of Hazrat Abbas (AS) holy shrine.

Quran reciters from 20 Arab and non-Arab countries are taking part in the contest, according to Al-Kafeel website.

A committee of international reciters including Sheikh Muhammad Bassiouni from Egypt, Bassem Al-Abidi and Mushtaq Al-Ali from Iraq, Sheikh Muhammad Asfour from Egypt, Sayed Hassanein Al-Helou from Iraq and Seyed Karim Mousavi from Iran are supervising this competition.

The Al-Ameed Quran recitation competition is held annually as one of the initiatives of the Astan of Hazrat Abbas (AS) holy shrine with the aim of spreading the culture of the Holy Quran and promoting the Quran as a solid guide for the individual and society.
