AhlulBayt News Agency: Iranian intelligence forces have dismantled a terrorist cell in Sistan and Baluchestan Province, near the border with Pakistan.

The provincial General Directorate of Intelligence announced on Wednesday that three terrorists were killed and eight others arrested during a coordinated counterterrorism operation involving the IRGC Quds Base, police units, and provincial intelligence teams.

According to the statement, the dismantled network—linked to Takfiri groups and foreign intelligence services—was responsible for the killing of three law enforcement officers and a civilian at a checkpoint in Fahraj County in Kerman Province.

Security forces also seized a large cache of weapons from the group’s hideouts, including RPG launchers, an American M4 rifle with night‑vision equipment, several Kalashnikovs fitted with grenade launchers, silencers, stolen vehicle plates, and two vehicles used by the terrorists.

The intelligence department added that the detained members confessed during initial interrogations to carrying out the attack on the Fahraj checkpoint.

The statement emphasized the crucial role of intelligence work in the success of the operation and noted that a full report will be released to the public once investigations are completed.
