AhlulBayt News Agency: The head of Iran’s Expediency Council said the Iranian nation’s massive turnout in the 47th anniversary rallies of the Islamic Revolution amounted to a “crushing response” to repeated threats issued by American officials.
During the opening of the Council’s Wednesday session, Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani stated that US officials continue to misread both the Iranian people and the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, making themselves instruments for the Israeli lobby.
Praising the widespread participation in the February 11 marches, he stressed that the Iranian people—fully aware of the values of the Islamic Revolution—sent a clear message to the world that they do not fear threats and cannot be intimidated.
Ayatollah Amoli Larijani added that a nation that has upheld the ideals of the Islamic Revolution for more than 47 years once again demonstrated its loyalty to those principles, despite ongoing pressure and propaganda from hostile powers.
