AhlulBayt News Agency: The General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran warned that any threat against the country will be met with a “more forceful and wider” response, reaffirming Iran’s readiness to defend its territory.
In a Tuesday statement marking the 47th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution, the General Staff praised the resilience of the Iranian nation and pledged decisive action against foreign aggression.
The statement emphasized that Iran “stands firmly and with full authority against any threat, conspiracy, or violation,” and will respond with even greater strength when necessary.
The Armed Forces reiterated that the Islamic Republic has consistently demonstrated its unwavering commitment to protecting national interests and long‑term strategic goals.
The message comes amid a major U.S. military buildup in the region, with Washington threatening Iran despite renewed nuclear talks hosted by Oman.
Last June, the Israeli regime launched a 12‑day war against Iran even as U.S. and Iranian officials were engaged in diplomatic negotiations.
Although the U.S. later joined the conflict, Israel was ultimately forced to request a ceasefire due to Iran’s powerful retaliatory operations.
According to the statement, Iran’s enemies — particularly the U.S. and Israel — have repeatedly faced a stronger and more resilient Iran the more they escalate pressure.
The General Staff added that after 47 years, any fair observer can see that Iran has achieved significant progress in scientific, defense, technological, social, and cultural fields despite decades of hostility.
It also noted that global imperial powers, having lost their interests after the fall of the Pahlavi regime, have maintained hostility toward Iran since the Revolution’s early days.
“They attempted to block the Revolution through assassinations, insecurity, sanctions, threats, and warmongering,” the statement said.
“But through the wise leadership of Imam Khomeini and Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, and the steadfastness of the Iranian people, they achieved nothing but humiliation and repeated defeat.”
The statement called on the Iranian people to create another historic moment through their strong and unified presence in the nationwide February 11 rallies.
