The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine signed a strategic contract with the Finnish Education Board to officially start the establishment of Iraqi-Finnish educational projects, which will be the first of their kind in Iraq and the region.

AhlulBayt News Agency: The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine signed a strategic contract with the Finnish Education Board to officially start the establishment of Iraqi-Finnish educational projects, which will be the first of their kind in Iraq and the region.

The signing session of the agreement came as a culmination of a long process and a series of meetings, discussions, and negotiations that were held during previous periods, contributing to the shaping of a framework for joint cooperation between the two sides.

The Finnish side was represented in the signing session by Mr. Matti Ponkala, while the holy shrine was represented by the Deputy Secretary-General, Mr. Abbas Mousa Ahmed, in the presence of the Chairman of the Education and Higher Education Authority at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, Dr. Abbas Rashid Al-Dadah Al-Moussawi, and the Head of the Education and Teaching Department, Dr. Hassan Dakhel Karim Al-Hasnawi.

Al-Hasnawi said: The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine seeks to open up to leading global educational experiences after its local project, represented by the Al-Ameed Educational Group, has reached a stage of maturity and integration that qualifies it for a conscious opening to successful international experiences.

He added that this approach does not aim to import ready-made educational models, but rather seeks to build an open educational dialog with global expertise, while preserving our uniqueness and simultaneously granting us a presence in the international educational scene.

He indicated that the next phase, under this agreement, will witness the commencement of implementing the various terms of the agreement, which include the establishment of international schools, the adoption of high-level professional development programs, as well as the launch of specialized forums, platforms, and development workshops, in addition to other axes that contribute to the advancement of the educational reality.

The contract includes multiple areas of cooperation and joint work, encompassing empowerment and educational development, providing consultations and accreditations in educational programs, as well as establishing and managing Finnish international schools within Iraq.

With the signing of this agreement, the actual work on these pioneering projects begins, representing the international educational line that will operate in parallel and in harmony with the local educational line embodied by the Al-Ameed Educational Group. Both will work within the framework of the vision of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine for the field of education and teaching as the central domain for national development and social prosperity.
