AhlulBayt News Agency: The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (I.R.G.C.) announced that more than 50 individuals linked to terrorist groups and mercenary networks affiliated with the Israeli regime have been arrested in recent security operations across Sistan and Baluchestan province. According to a statement released on Tuesday, two others were killed during the missions.
According to IRNA, the operation was carried out as part of the “Martyrs of Security” exercise, involving cooperation between I.R.G.C. ground forces, national intelligence and security agencies, and local residents.
The detainees are said to be connected to terrorist cells based in Iran’s eastern regions, with stated goals of destabilizing the southern province and targeting critical infrastructure and economic sectors.
In addition to the arrests, security forces confiscated a significant cache of weapons and military equipment, including U.S.-manufactured arms, the statement noted.
The I.R.G.C. confirmed that operations are ongoing to identify and apprehend additional suspects involved in the network.
