Qatari Red Crescent Society (QRCS) has allocated Q.R. 500.000 to implement Zakat al-Fitr's project and distribute food parcels in a number of needy Islamic countries and regions.
In this context, QRCS has contributed Q.R. 150.000 to finance Zakat al-Fitr's project in the Muslim Ningxia Hui Autonomous city and distributed food parcels two days before the Holy month.
2600 needy families from 15 villages have benefited from this project. Zakaat al-Fitr included food parcels containing 18 tons of rice, 30 tons and a half of flour and 3 tons of oil.
Qatari Red Crescent Society is scheduled to continue the implementation of the Zakaat al-Fitr's project in a number of poor villages in Somalia, Sri Lanka, Kazakhstan and Chechnya.
