(AhlulBayt News Agency) - The Turkish-backed “Free Syrian Army” (FSA) and their Islamist allies reportedly captured several sites from the US-backed “Syrian Democratic Forces” (SDF) on Saturday after a series of intense clashes in the northern countryside of the Aleppo Governorate.

Following the capture of Tal Sha’er from the so-called Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS), the Free Syrian Army and their allies turned their attention to the SDF front.

In a short period of time, the FSA and their allies managed to capture the villages of Maz’alah and Yousif Bayk, while also attempting to advance at the key hilltop of Tal ‘Amarinah.

The FSA and Islamist rebels received a major boost from their Turkish allies, as they provided aid in the form of airstrikes and artillery fire against the SDF.
