Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei's new representative to Damascus started official work on Friday.
The Leader's new representative Abolfalz Tabatabai-Ashkezari was introduced in a ceremony held in Hazrat Zainab's shrine in the presence of a number of high ranking officials from the Leader's office.
Leader's former representative to Syria Mojtaba Hosseini was appointed as Leader's representative to Iraq in August 2015.
