Prominent ISIS commander killed in northern Syria

The U.S. Air Force carried out an airstrike over the ISIS stronghold of Menbeij on Thursday, killing a high ranking terrorist commander and several of his combatants in the process.

The U.S. Air Force carried out an airstrike over the ISIS stronghold of Menbeij on Thursday, killing a high ranking terrorist commander and several of his combatants in the process.

ISIS social media activists were lamenting the death of Emir “Abu Al-Walid” of Hisbah after the U.S. conducted an airstrike that killed him and his associates.

Abu Al-Walid’s real name is Khaled ‘Ali ‘Ezzeddine – he hails from the Syrian city of ‘Azaz in the Aleppo Governorate.

Before becoming the Emir of Hisbah in northeast Aleppo, the ISIS commander was the Emir of both Tal Rifa’at and Mennagh Airbase.
