Over the last 24 hours, ISIS has repeatedly attempted to break back into the Industrial District (Al-Sinaa) of Deir Ezzor City after conceding this area to the Syrian Armed Forces last week.
However, ISIS’ large-scale assault was unable to yield any gains, thanks in large part to the Syrian Arab Army’s (SAA) stiff defenses and the Syrian Arab Air Force’s (SAAF) relentless aerial bombardment of the terrorist group’s supply route to the Industrial District. According to a military source at the Deir Ezzor Military Airport, the Syrian Arab Army’s 104th Airborne Brigade of the Republican Guard killed a total of 29 ISIS terrorists in the last 24 hours.
Currently, the Industrial District is completely under the control of the Syrian government forces; however, ISIS is expected to launch another assault in the coming hours.
