AhlulBayt News Agency - On Saturday morning, the extremist rebels of Jabhat Al-Nusra (Syrian Al-Qaeda group), Jund Al-Aqsa (Syrian Al-Qaeda group), Ajnad Al-Sham, Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham, and the Free Syrian Army’s Division 13 imposed full control over the strategic village and hilltop of Tal Al-‘Eiss after a violent battle with the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and their allies in southern Aleppo.
The aftermath of this battle for Tal Al-‘Eiss revealed the significant losses sustained by the extremist rebel forces in order to seize this strategic hilltop and village.
According to Syrian Arab Army sources, the death toll for the extremist rebel forces on Saturday was estimated between 60-80 casualties, with at least 45 militants already identified.
Following their capture of Tal Al-‘Eiss, the extremist rebels attempted to capture the entire Jabal Al-‘Eiss (Mount Eiss) area; this proved successful as the Syrian Armed Forces withdrew to the strategic town of Hader.
The Syrian Armed Forces accused the rebel forces of breaching the cessation of hostilities agreement after their withdrawal from Tal Al-‘Eiss.
The Russian Air Force was absent from the battle in southern Aleppo on Friday and Saturday; this is most likely due to their commitment to the cessation of hostilities agreement.
