Iraqi air forces have killed nearly a dozen of ISIS commanders in Anbar province, West of Iraq.
Iraqi Joint Operation Command confirmed that following intelligence gathering operations, Iraqi warplanes heavily pounded ISIS positions in al-Jamheer neighbourhood of Qaeem district in Anbar province.
The airstrikes targeted an ISIS gathering in which 11 terrorist commanders were killed and seven others injured.
The Iraqi military officials also revealed that a senior ISIS commander, known as Abu Duaa al-Rawiyah, is among the dead jihadists.
Ramadi, the provincial capital city of Anbar, has recently been liberated by the Iraqi army. However, residents have not been allowed to return home as the city remains under threat and the aftermath of a seven-months-long battle between ISIS and Iraqi army is so huge that most of the city's infrastructures have been damaged.
