Following heavy rain in Northern UK Muslim community offered shelter and food to the victims of floods. In a message posted on social media from Leeds Grand Mosque Muslims were called to help local neighbors.
A similar message was spread by Muslim community in Bradford and food distrubuted by Jamia Masjid. In various other cities daily basics, tea and emergency supplies were distributed to residents affected by extreme weather conditions.
Some Muslims offered shared their houses with neighbors and spent their days together to repair the damage of floods. To clean up streets, parks and gardens many Muslim volunteers took part in joint efforts with local residents and helped restore public life. Two-time world champion boxer Amir Khan were among the volunteers to help Carlislie people.
