The ISIS has executed a Kurdish female activist in their stronghold of Raqqa, northern Syria, for allegedly supporting some Syrian opposition parties.
According to the information from Syrian Kurdistan, better known as Rojava, Ruqayya Hasan Muhammad, 36, had been arrested by ISIS insurgents in August last year after she returned to Raqqa from Kobani.
Muhammad was later accused of cooperating with some Syrian opposition parties and working against ISIS in Raqqa. She was executed in October 2015 but the terrorist group had denied reporting her death.
A source from ISIS territories recently contacted Muhammad’s family and confirmed her execution by the extremists.
ISIS is still running Muhammad’s social media accounts in hopes of finding her network of activists in the city.
