Ahlul Bayt News Agency - Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif will visit Kuwait, Qatar and Iraq today, the ISNA press agency said, following a landmark nuclear deal between Tehran and world powers.
The accord, struck on July 14, imposes certain controls on Iran’s nuclear programme in exchange for a lifting of crippling economic sanctions and is expected to form the basis of discussions during Zarif’s trip.
Zarif is also expected to visit the holy Shia town of Najaf in Iraq tomorrow before heading to Baghdad.
He will return to Tehran next week to host talks with EU foreign affairs chief Federica Mogherini before meeting his French counterpart Laurent Fabius.
