AhlulBayt News Agency: Ansarullah spokesperson Muhammad Abdussalam has denounced the U.S. bombing of a camp for African immigrants in Yemen’s Sa’daa, describing it as an attempt to mask Washington’s repeated failures in achieving its strategic goals in the war-torn Arab country.
Speaking on Monday, Abdussalam condemned the airstrikes, highlighting that the U.S. military campaign in Yemen has brought no tangible results for Washington, despite years of ongoing aggression. According to him, such attacks underscore the desperation and ineffectiveness of American policies in Yemen.
He also criticized the international community for its continued inaction, stating that silence over the U.S.’s violations of international laws has emboldened Washington to intensify its attacks. Residential areas and civilian buildings, often falsely labeled as military targets, have repeatedly been struck, leading to a significant loss of innocent lives.
Citing a report by Yemen’s Al-Masirah TV, Abdussalam noted that the death toll from the U.S. airstrikes on the camp in Sa’daa had risen to 35, with nearly 30 others still trapped beneath the rubble. The strike, which targeted a detention center for African migrants, left devastation in its wake, further drawing attention to the human cost of the conflict.
Abdussalam stressed that these ongoing crimes not only demonstrate the U.S.’s disregard for human life but also serve to further destabilize Yemen, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in the region.
