Uncompromising Integrity: The Foundation of Imam Ali’s (a.s.) Governance / Imam Ali (a.s.) as the Universal Model for Humanity: Ayatollah Ramezani

During the Qadr Night ceremony on the 21st of Ramadan, Ayatollah Ramezani, the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, emphasized that uncompromising integrity is the foundation of Imam Ali’s (a.s.) governance. He further stated that Imam Ali (a.s.) serves as a universal model for humanity.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): On Friday night, March 21, 2025, coinciding with the 21st of the holy month of Ramadan, the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Ali (a.s.), and the Qadr Night vigil at Safi Mosque in Rasht, Ayatollah Ramezani stated, “Qadr Nights are a precious opportunity to seek divine forgiveness.”

Quoting a narration from the Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) regarding the holy month of Ramadan, the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly added, “Safeguarding one’s faith, soul, and tongue, maintaining family ties, refraining from harming neighbors, and showing concern for friends during the holy month of Ramadan lead to divine forgiveness and mercy.”

Emphasizing the importance of guarding one’s tongue, he stated, “Preserving one’s speech protects a person from committing 200 sins.”

Ayatollah Ramezani said, “According to narrations and hadiths, whoever witnesses the Night of Qadr but fails to attain forgiveness distances himself immensely from the Almighty God.”

Stressing that Imam Ali (a.s.) is a perfect role model, the representative of Gilan Province in the Assembly of Leadership Experts said, “Beyond merely praising and admiring Imam Ali (a.s.), we must strive to emulate him in various aspects of our individual and social lives.”

Highlighting the necessity of truly knowing the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali (a.s.), he asserted, “The methods, character, insights, and worldview of Imam Ali (a.s.) must pervade all dimensions of our lives.”

Ayatollah Ramezani added, “Unfortunately, distortions sometimes arise in the descriptions of Imam Ali (a.s.) and other infallible Imams (a.s.), preventing society from properly adopting them as role models.”

The representative of Gilan Province in the Assembly of Leadership Experts stated, “Imam Ali (a.s.) stands as the supreme exemplar and criterion in all matters. Living one’s individual and social life by his example will surely bear fruit.”

Referring to the views of prominent figures from other religions in praise of Imam Ali (a.s.), he noted, “Imam Ali (a.s.) holds a significant and influential position among religious scholars of all faiths, and many have been inspired by him in various ways.”

“Imam Ali (a.s.) is a divine miracle,” he added. “More than 300 Quranic verses were revealed about him.”

The Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “Imam Ali (a.s.) was a man for encountering all crises. He provided solutions to countless challenges, difficulties, and hardships.”

He continued, “Followers and scholars of other faiths have been left in awe of Imam Ali’s (a.s.) greatness. According to their views, no one like Ali (a.s.) has ever been created from the East to the West of the world.”

Ayatollah Ramezani further noted, “The combination of governance and justice was one of the miracles of Imam Ali (a.s.).”

The representative of Gilan Province in the Assembly of Leadership Experts stated, “Imam Ali (a.s.) is a role model for all of humanity. He does not belong to a single group and must not be claimed exclusively, rather, everyone should benefit from him.”

Explaining Imam Ali’s (a.s.) approach to governance, he said, “The establishment of justice and adherence to truth in governance is one of the wonders of Imam Ali’s (a.s.) leadership.”

Ayatollah Ramezani stated, “Imam Ali (a.s.) adorned governance and societal leadership with beauty and dignity.”

The Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly emphasized, “Commitment to truth and an uncompromising stance on principles were fundamental aspects of Imam Ali’s (a.s.) rule.”

He added, “A religious government must remain steadfast in upholding religious principles and values. Despite all the hardships and challenges of governance, Imam Ali (a.s.) never abandoned or retreated from Islamic principles and values.”

In conclusion, Ayatollah Ramezani stated, “In his role as an Imam, Imam Ali (a.s.) never neglected anyone. Even in governance and Islamic leadership, he was not indifferent to even his worst enemies.”
